Letter
Fourteen
Dear brethren it is written: a And every
one that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or
wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold,
and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be
first.
b ”For
the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to
hire laborers for his vineyard. “And when he had agreed with the laborers for a
shilling (a day’s wages) for the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
“And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the
market place; and to those he said, ‘You too go into the vineyard, and whatever
is right I will give you.’ And so they went. “Again he went out about
the sixth and the ninth hour, and did the same thing. “And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others
standing; and he said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day
long?’ “They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You too
go into the vineyard.’ “And when
evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the
laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last group to the
first.’ “And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each one
received a shilling “And when those hired first came, they thought that
they would receive more; and they also received each one a shilling, when they
received it, they grumbled at the landowner, saying, ‘These last men have
worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne
the burden and the scorching heat of the day.’ “But he answered and said to one
of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a
shilling? ‘Take what is yours and
go your way, but I wish to give to this last one the same as to you. ‘Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish
with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’ “Thus the last shall be first, and the first
last.”
Thus we see: cFor many are called, but few chosen. The Great awakening is waiting for the last, they are the One Third of the Elect of God.
cc Do you think that the scripture says in vain, The spirit
that dwells in us lusts to envy? 6But
he gives more grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives
grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the
devil, and he will flee from you.
Our Lord is meek and lowly, so shall
we be with love:
ccc all things have been delivered
unto me of my Father: and no one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does
any know the Father, except the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my
burden is light.
Again inZechariah d“And
it will come about in all the land, ”Declares the Lord, “That two parts in it will be cut
off and perish;
But the third will be
left in it. These
are the lost sheep, that he cme to save.
“And I will bring the third part through the
fire,
Refine them as silver
is refined,
And test them as gold
is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them;
And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”
We see here that Hebrews ch 6 and Zechariah ch 13
agree, that the Word of God agrees: eFor in the case of those
who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have
been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to
come, and then have fallen away, it is
impossible to renew them again to
repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God, and put Him
to open shame. For the ground that drinks the rain which
often falls upon it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake
it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; but if it yields thorns and
thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being
burned.
Now we begin to understand the
resurrection:
In Job it is recorded: f O that you would hide me in the grave, that you would
keep me secret, until your wrath be past, that you would appoint me a
set time, and remember me. If
one dies, shall they live again? All the days of my appointed time will
I wait, till my change comes. You shall call, and I will answer, you will have
a desire to the work of your hands.
What the wrath is, is about the nations (so called
churches). For they are sent to see if we will be succored by them, Job is
waiting for the wrath to pass, then the Resurrection.
g“Before she goes into labor,
she gives birth;
before the pains come upon
her,
she delivers a son.
Who has ever heard of such a thing?
Who has ever seen such
things?
Can a country be born in a
day
or a nation be brought forth
in a moment?
Yet no sooner is Zion in
labor
than she gives birth to her
children.
Do I bring to the moment of birth
and not give delivery?” says
the LORD.
“Do I close up the womb
when I bring to delivery?”
says your God.
“Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her,
all you who love her;
rejoice greatly with her,
all you who mourn over her.
For you will nurse and be satisfied
at her comforting breasts;
you will drink deeply
and delight in her
overflowing abundance.”
For this is what the LORD says:
“I will extend peace to her
like a river,
and the wealth of nations
like a flooding stream;
you will nurse and be
carried on her arm
and dandled on her knees.
As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
and you will be comforted over
Jerusalem.”
When you see this, your heart will rejoice
and you will flourish like
herbs;
the hand of the LORD will be
made known to his servants,
but his fury will be shown
to his foes.
See, the LORD is coming with fire,
and his chariots are like a
whirlwind;
he will bring down his anger
with fury,
and his rebuke with flames
of fire.
For
with fire and with his sword
Hebrews 4:12 below
the LORD will execute judgment upon all men,
and many will be those slain
by the LORD.
Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder
of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Here in Daniel is what course the children
of God are given.
Daniel 12:13:h But go your way till the end be: for you shall rest,
and stand in your lot at the end of the days.
.
In Moses it is written: Deuteronomy 30:1-6.
JAnd it shall come to pass,
when all these things are come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I
have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the
nations, whither the LORD your God has driven you, And you shall return unto
the LORD your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you
this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;
That then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon
you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, whither the LORD your
God has scattered you. If any of your’s be driven out unto the outmost parts
of heaven, from there will the LORD your God gather you, and from there will he
fetch you: 5And the LORD your God will bring you into the land which
your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and
multiply you above your fathers. And the LORD thy God will circumcise your
heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your
heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
Acts 2: 18-21, 19
kAnd I will shew wonders in heaven above,
and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun
shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable
day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever
shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
In Revelation 6:9-11. Rest is given to the children of God.
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw
under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for
the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How
long, O Lord, holy and true, do you not judge and avenge our blood on them that
dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it
was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their
fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were,
should be fulfilled.
In Revelation 20: 6
Blessed
and holy are they that have part in the first resurrection: on such the second
death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall
reign with him a thousand years.
